Not only has Companies House reduced the cost of online filing of company accounts and some other documents, but it has also made the accessing of some information, which had previously necessitated payment of a fee, free of charge.
In addition, it has now created an ‘app’, which is available for download from the Apple App Store, which allows instant company searches and basic company details to be accessed via your Apple device.
Bizarrely, Companies House has not yet created similar apps for the 71 per cent of UK users who do not use an iPhone, nor has it applied a QR code so that the app can be instantly downloaded.
