Commercial Property Solicitor needed for a renowned Law Firm based in Bristol.

My client a leading law firm in Bristol is currently looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor. The Firm can offer flexibility with a fantastic working environment with a superb quality of complex work.  The successful Legal Professional  will have a minimum of 3 years PQE and the role is as follows:

Responsibilities:

  • All aspects of commercial conveyancing including sales and purchases of properties and businesses, mortgage and re-financing – both individual and portfolio.
  • Landlord and tenant matters including grant and assignment of leases, lease renewals, licenses to assign and to alter, inter alia.
  • Development acquisitions and disposals, pension properties, joint venture agreements and all other aspects of commercial property.
  • Conduct of matters on behalf of clients in an appropriate and efficient manner.
  • Management of support services including departmental secretaries and paralegals.
  • Participation in marketing activities whether on a firm-wide, departmental or office basis.
  • Financial control with particular regard to cash flow control through accurate time-recording, the collection of monies on account and billing procedures.
  • Ensure CPD points are adequate and properly recorded.
  • Ensure compliance with SAR, SRA Code of Conduct and Lexcel rules and requirements for all matters for which you have conducted and promptly advise Head of Department of any matter of concern.
  • Share knowledge and ideas with your colleagues in the department and firm-wide, as appropriate.
  • Have a clear understanding of commercial banking documents, such as debentures and personal guarantees.

To be successful you will:

  • Have at least 3-5 years experience in Commercial Property
  • Qualified solicitor or FCILEx
  • People Management experience
  • Be comfortable dealing with a substantial and complex caseload
  • Have experience of handling and managing your own caseload from start to finish
  • Be able to drive income targets
  • Have the ability to work under pressure
